That's really awesome! We had an eye towards retirement. On the other hand, a co-worker's child is making a good go of it right now in Toronto. They're working with the film industry doing graphics/animation. Almost 20 years ago a US company I worked for bought an Integrated Circuit design outfit, also in Toronto. There's stuff going on up north too. Different things in different places. As a last plug, not that any of us are giving anything up, BC/Vancouver Island is gorgeous and has some shades of green I've seen nowhere else!
Speaking as a Brit, Canadians have always felt like the nice cousins you see every now and again. Americans on the other hands still have a touch of the exotic (as least at first) when I encounter them, we have quite a few close by due to a nearby air force base.
Congratulations!
Very cool! Does this make you a dual citizen? Not to pry. Ironically, we've considered immigrating to Canada.
Yes, I have dual citizenship now with Canada and the US. You're not the first person to tell me that they're thinking of going in the other direction.

How lovely, congratulations!

Thank you very much! I'm glad to hear that we fall in the "nice relative" camp rather than the "annoying foreigner" camp.
